White Hall Vineyard is just a half a mile up the road from us and there are many closeby Vineyards to visit. The best Organic eggs from Mount Air Organic Beef Farm are available in Crozet at Fabulous Foods natural Food Store. Ruby offers fresh range eggs from the Steppe Family Farm. Visit Innisfree Village Farm to experience beautiful local organic vegetable, herb and flower gardens just a mile up the road on Walnut Level Rd (call Innisfree to arrange a tour). The Shenandoah National Park Entrance is only minutes away on Sugar Hollow Rd. and offers great hikes, swimming holes and fun rocks to play on for the whole family. Mint Spring Park offers lake swimming with white sandy beach and lifeguards on duty.We have a 6acre lake to swim ( this is rustic country pond swimming, no fancy white beach swim! Bring water shoes to avoid the fresh water clam shells) and canoe in and 2 other fishing ponds and hiking trails and lots of wildlife! Keep an eye open for Blue heron, black bear, and deer. The beaver often swim just across the bank at the lakes over flow and will some times swim up to the canoe.Organic Shade Grown Coffee is in the freezer. In the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and in walking distance to the Shenandoah River, you will find the cabins, which are about ten miles north of Luray in the Massanutten Mountains to be inviting as well as functional. This is a rustic mountain neighborhood, more populated by small forest animals and birds than by its occasional mountain family. Each cabin is comfortably decorated, clean and attractive . . . the sort of place where you feel you can lean back, prop up your feet, and really relax surrounded by the sights and sounds of the mountains and forest.

Local warm weather activities include canoeing, tubing or kayaking on the Shenandoah River and riverside picnics. December through March, skiing is available at two nearby resorts, Massanutten and Bryce. Each is about a 50minute drive away. All seasons offer horseback riding through picturesque mountain trails hiking through National forests and parks mountain biking (local rentals available), fishing nearby lakes, rivers and stocked trout streams star gazing at a sky so big and dark that all the major constellations can be seen visiting civil war battlefields and museums, browsing through antique shops and flea markets sightseeing along Skyline Drive and exploring the wonders of Luray and other nearby Caverns. There are also several vineyards within easy driving distance and tee times are available at Caverns Country Club and Shenvalee Golf Resort.
