Parque Maritimo el Coco is the perfect spot to come with all the family or couple because our beach allows a safe and enjoyment swim. While you stay in one of our lovely houses we invite you to enjoy unique activities on the beach or at the surrounding areas like Football, Volleyball, Frisbee, horse or bicycle riding to the nearby villas or into the jungle to observe Black Howler monkeys (Alouatta caraya), birds, butterflies, and other kinds of animals. At night you can visit playa la Flor, a sanctuary for endanger marine turtles. On nesting periods of the marine turtle Paslama (Lepidochelys oliveacea) you can observe up to 20,000 turtles on a period of time of four days. During the day you can take a boat tour nearby playa la flor and playa el Coco where marine turtles can be seen mating. With a bit of luck you can see dolphins or whales on some periods of the year. Another tour you can take is to Bolaos island on the boundaries of Costa Rica and Nicaragua, a sanctuary for frigatebirds (Fregata magnificens) and other marines birds like pelicans. You will get to the nesting sites where baby birds are getting out of the eggs.

Quinta Juan Costa is located in Altos del Maria, in the area of Santiago Apostol accross from the park. These cabins are only meant for nature lovers. The area is surrounded by mountains and huge trees, with ocean view and no other sounds but the birds and nature. Please take into consideration that there are only 3 restaurants near by, and a small supermarked. For other facilities such as boutiques, restaurants, big supermarkets, you need a 30 min. drive. Dozens of birds will sing next to your window every morning. Toucans will be playing in couples during the afternoons very near by. At night, you just will listen to silence.
